Great event. This was our first time running in this area and we were really impressed with the organisation and support from the local community. One small suggestion I would make would be to have a snack in the goody bag. We had come from cardiff and were starving by the end!

Really enjoyed the race yesterday - great atmosphere and a very scenic course. Return next year to take on the Bwstfil y Bryn!

Hello, I would like to say that I enjoyed the race yesterday, however I felt that the registration was poor. Due to the large numbers involved along with my colleagues we all had to que up to obtain our race numbers, although we had all pre entered. This then had a knock on effect as I was not able to get closer to the start line as I wanted to. I appreciate that these events are difficult to manage, however could consideration be made to send out pre entries via post for next year. Many Thanks

Hi Paul, I wanted to say a huge thank you to all who worked so hard on Saturday. It was my first Beast of Bryn but I'm sure not my last. Brilliant. Maria

Posted by Jocelle Lovell on 18/07/2014

Hi, I just wanted to say a massive thank you for yesterday. Myself and a friend ran the Beast of Bryn for the first time, and we were taken back not only by the beautiful scenery and breath taking views along the route, but by the welcome, atmosphere and friendliness of the day. I have run many road races over the years, and they struggle to compare to the seamless coordination of yesterday's event. The village of Bryn should be proud. I will definitely be back next year.

I ran with the Lliswerry girls and we would all like to purchase a photo if it is possible to view it first. Kind regards

Posted by Sarah on 12/07/2014

Dear Paul I'm a bit late in sending you this, but just wanted you to know what a fun day/race we had. I would love to say that I had an amazing race, but in fact I was only the chauffeur to my 16yr old son. Who had a really good race, which he really enjoyed. The organisation and atmosphere leading up to and including on the day was great. My son has informed me that he would love to do it again next year (much praise from a teenager). So injuries depending will see you again then. Wishing you all the best Sarah

Hi, Thanks for a great race, I did the 15 miles but am a bit disappointed that most of the photos were for the the 6.8 mile runners. I've scanned the photos and it would have been great to see more of the longer run. (Ps I was Tracie Williams Lliswerry Runners). Best Wishes Tracie Williams.

My husband and I did the 15miler this year - we'd love to see the photos :) Laura Thompson

Despite the family connections - what a fantastic event - we'll be back again next year

First attempt at taming the beast, won't be my last. Very hard race but scenery and friendliness make it worth the effort.

Loved this race. Little bit organised chaos at the start, with no clear idea of what the start time was going to be, but otherwise well marshalled and great atmosphere. Fab scenery and lovely cakes at the end. Will defo be back next year!

I really enjoyed the run, it was tough but a fantastic achievement. Great organisation and atmosphere. However I was disappointed by the unenthusiastic marshalls! no cheers, claps or words of encouragement from the majority of them.

Posted by Steve Waygood on 08/06/2014

Many thanks, a great atmosphere. I did thank as many people on the day as possible. A gem of race thanks to the people of Bryn from Bryn my beastly (he's not) rescue dog. Never walk!

Cheers Graham and Shaun and the BRAG team, marshalls and helpers. If Carlsberg did trail races...fantastic event. Long may it continue.

the 6.8 mile race this year will be part of the welsh trail running championships (short course).to score points in the welsh championships you have to compete in one long one medium and one short race, that has been selected to be good enough to be included as one of the races you need to run to gain points for the welsh trail running championships. bwystfil y bryn 6.8 mile race is delighted to be included as a championship race.we will not disappoint.any athletes already entered in the 15 and would like to swap to the 6.8 please contact myself. a great race/day is being planned .

First time beast runner, I travelled a long way to do it and was not disapointed. The whole week weekend was brilliant and the atmosphere in the village was great, from speaking to Shaun and Graham at 06:30 on the morning to leaving and talking to Lee on Sunday, everybody was so warm and friendly. Back next year....who knows but so glad to have been part of a great race. Andrew Greathead - Bishop Auckland

Another great race this year, again excellent marshalling and organisation, improved with chip timing and a better start route, I thoroughly enjoyed! The horses added an extra 'bwystfil' element to the race, although I was glad to see the back of them! Many thanks, looking forward to next year!

Saturdays Beast was just that! But once again I loved it!! the weather was superb making the race its self even more challenging (6.8 miles. Great organisation throughout. I will be back again next year!!

Today I ran with you on the 6.8 mile shorter run. I haven't got my time yet. I wanted to say what a brilliant day it was. I have 2 children and my husband was worried about arriving too early with me (for registration etc) in case our daughter got bored. But, this was not long lived, as the rides and items you had on for the children were running throughout the day, so I would like to urge others with family to sign up next year as the children are well catered for (providing they have an adult with them of course). This was my first ever longer distance run and definitely I have never attempted to do Alpine running (well, jogging) but today was amazing. The first 2 miles were a lovely easy start to get into, then it started to go uphill very gently. Then for the next 2.5/3 miles, it was very hard going and steep, I had to walk the majority of this, but at the marker for 5 miles it was all downhill to the finish (except the final short climb uphill to the rugby field) and it was sup
